Join the Founding Board of the KiraKira Institute.

KiraKira is currently building a working board: a small, hands-on group of leaders who support both governance and active program development. Our board members are not passive fiduciaries — they are collaborative partners helping us design, build, and scale our justice-centered research and storytelling initiatives.

This means our board members will be deeply engaged in hands-on work, including strategy, fundraising, partnerships, program development, narrative shaping, and organizational systems building.

A working board is ideal for early-stage organizations like ours, where the most meaningful impact comes from leaders who can combine governance with active participation.

In our first 1–3 years, board members will contribute 3–8 hours/month, participate in committees, support early fundraising, and help shape the foundation of the KiraKira Institute. We welcome leaders who are energized by creativity, innovation, community-engaged work, and building a new organization from the ground up.
